Vigas Log-Fired Central Heating Boilers

Fan-assisted combustion, controlled by a micro-processor for maximum efficiency.

Vigas boilers have been in use in Europe for something like 30 years and are robustly built for long service. They will happily burn soft (pine-type) wood or hardwood logs and "scraps" Their inherent simplicity makes them easy to use and little maintenance is required*. They are best employed with a "thermal store"/accumulator tank and fired as necessary on a "batch-burning" basis, although there are many in use on an on-demand basis, direct into a heating system. Typical boiler layout (pdf). Akvaterm Brochure (pdf).

Available 15 kW - 80kW.

(* It is recommended that wood burnt is 20% moisture content or less).
